With a special focus on helping people and organisations create healthy workplaces, we believe that educating people about safe work practices that help avoid minimise or manage potential injuries and risks at work, is a proactive way for all employers to make their workplaces a healthy place to be and where people will want to work.

Occupational Therapist Jane Cowan-Harris leads our well-qualified, experienced team, all of whom are committed to creating healthy, sustainable work environments.

Having originally established SitRight WorkWell in 2004, a Christchurch-based health and safety consultancy  dedicated specifically to ensuring people were ergonomically well set up at their workstations,  it became increasingly apparent to Jane that with higher technology use, well designed workplaces really influence peoples’ health, productivity and performance, and overall wellbeing. With this in mind, she expanded the business to incorporate every aspect of workplace sustainability and formed WorkSpace IQ in 2013.

Jane is a member of:

Occupational Therapy New Zealand – Whakaora Ngangahau Aotearoa
Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of New Zealand

Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce

Former member, Health & Safety Associations New Zealand (HASANZ), Leadership team
Former member – New Zealand Institute of Safety Management

She is a keen networker and enjoys meeting up with other professionals involved with the rebuild of the Christchurch and Canterbury region. She is particularly interested in putting the spotlight on workplace wellness to ensure that we leave a positive healthy workplace legacy, making a positive impact on the future of workplace wellness and is committed to ensuring that WorkSpace IQ is a socially responsible corporate citizen.

Testimonials

I really enjoyed your presentation... on Tuesday a colleague came to me to complain about a lack of light in her office and that she wanted a desk lamp, so I was able to whip out the Office Max catalogue and take a look at the Daylight lamp (the white one you had a photo of) and we are going to order a couple.
